Hey Friend-o.
It’s fair to say that I can be a bit…wordy.
#noregrets
So today I thought I’d switch it up:
Rather than tell, I want to show you something:
This is a picture of me when I was 7 – and very into gymnastics and dance (something my own daughters do not believe to this day, apparently because I have no more “rhythm or flexibility.” Pshaw).
As you can see, I was always pretty comfortable in front of a camera – even before Generation Instagram – not to mention stylish 🤷🏼♀️.
It’s really no surprise that I would start to pursue a career on stage, teaching people about leadership, resilience, and the future of work; I had the confidence – I just needed the life experience to back it up and polish into a shiny package.
(In my experience as a leadership consultant and performance coach, that is the case for a lot of leaders:
>> you’re born with a natural talent that feels so effortless, you don’t even know it is a talent – until you start to refine your skillset and realize how far your ability to own who you are can take you.)
How about you – got any clues from your childhood that in hindsight, paint the roadmap for where you are today?
Hit reply and send it my way; we can reminisce together on how the 80’s and 90’s were truly peak humanity.
#carebearsforlife.
Warmly and with thanks,
Leisse
